The sound of HIIIT (formerly known as Slagwerk Den Haag) embraces diversity, ranging from traditional percussion to unconventional audio sources such as porcelain and 3D-printed instruments. In collaboration with contemporary artists and producers, we explore new musical horizons, fostering innovation and experimentation in the world of music.

ANBI STATUS

Stichting HIIIT holds ANBI status. If you donate to HIIIT, you receive extra tax deductions. When calculating your deduction for your tax return, you may increase your donation to HIIIT by 25%, with a maximum increase of €1,250. This applies regardless of whether you make a one-time donation, a recurring donation, or both.

MISSION

The statutory objective of Stichting HIIIT is:
The foundation aims to increase the presence and promote the appreciation of percussion in the musical landscape within and beyond the Netherlands.

The foundation seeks to achieve this goal through:

  • Organizing concerts by HIIIT, either independently or in collaboration with other ensembles;
  • Commissioning compositions and encouraging composers to write percussion compositions;
  • Building a collection of percussion instruments, sheet music, and recordings;
  • Conducting research in the field of percussion;
  • Any other means that the Supervisory Board deems beneficial to achieving the foundation’s objective.

The statutes further state that the foundation’s assets must be used to realize its mission.

SUPERVISORY BOARD & MANAGEMENT

HIIIT follows a Supervisory Board model, in which the responsibilities of the statutory management are defined in a Management Regulation.

The Supervisory Board of Stichting HIIIT consists of:

The Supervisory Board and Management endorse the Governance Code Cultuur, Fair Practice Code, and the Code of Diversity & Inclusion.

REMUNERATION POLICY

As of January 1, 2025, HIIIT will adhere to the Cao Muziekensembles (Collective Labor Agreement for Music Ensembles). Starting January 1, 2024, fees will increase by an average of 20%. With a second increase of approximately 20%, HIIIT will fully comply with the collective labor agreement.

2024

  • Percussionists with more than four years of experience will receive a standardized fee, with a daily rate of €335.
  • Percussionists with zero to four years of experience will be placed within the appropriate Cao salary scales starting January 1, 2025. In 2024, they will receive an average daily rate of €264.
  • Students will receive a daily rate of €248.

Members of the Supervisory Board perform their duties on an unpaid basis; they do not receive attendance fees or expense reimbursements.

HIIIT’s management complies with the obligations set out in the General Subsidy Regulation of the Municipality of The Hague and adheres to the income cap specified in the Standards for Remuneration of Senior Officials in the Public and Semi-Public Sector Act (WNT).
